The characters look really good and not like empty shells. The city is amazing and its open world nature did not stop the devs from putting fairly satisfying amount of details in the streets, the animations and web swinging - simply fantastic. But looking at the game as objectively as I can, they did such a great job in so many areas. But my biggest problem with the game is probably combat, I really don't like this Batman style fighting, its not that fun and gets tiring quickly. I don't really like the menus, they are generic in their nature, just like many other AAA games and frankly, the font is sometimes too small. To be fair I can feel that Insomniac did though about it and tried as hard as they could to make the game give these cozy, personal and not too serious vibes but you can only do so much in an AAA open world game. too perfect? I know how that sounds, it's just that feeling you get from it that it was destined to suceed on every front and Spider Man always felt campy. too perfect? I know how that sounds, it's just that feeling you get from it that it was destined to suceed on every front The game is kinda.
